Hello. Thanks for taking the time to drop by.

I’ve lived with and trained dogs for over thirty years and I’ve written works of fiction for about the same length of time. Writers are constantly exhorted to ‘write about what you know’ so it seemed reasonable that I should use my knowledge of dogs and dog sport in my  work.

I drew inspiration for my first crime novel ‘Scent of Crime’ from my  years spent competing in working trials with Solo, one of my German shepherd dogs.

My second crime novel ‘Tangled Leads’ draws on my experience of dog showing.

I wrote the little fun book ‘Crafty Canine’s 101 Ways To Foul Up Your Family’ after meeting some outstanding  canine characters at the dog training club where I hold classes.

Also featured is a short story from ‘Dead Things,’ a collection of  horror and sci-fi stories with death as their theme.

While I have a profound interest in the darker, sometimes bizarre side of life—and death—as reflected in my crime and horror writing, I also find humour in most aspects of our existence. I hope you enjoy my ‘Odds and Ends’.

Oh, and just in case you might be wondering about the name ‘welterri’: back in the days when I bred and showed Welsh terriers ‘Welterri’ was my and my husband’s Kennel Club registered breeder’s affix. It is simply derived from Welsh terrier.
